I have an idea to make a hand with moving fingers, connected by a red line to a puppet. It can represent control, emotion, and dance.
At first, I used cardboard and chopsticks to make the offset cams and followers.
Maybe the flat followers are too light and the cams aren’t smooth, so the mechanism didn’t run properly. Using cardboard for the offset cams mechanism might not be the best approach.
Josh gave me an example of making fingers move in a simple mechanism. So that I don’t need followers any more.
